“Pahal” initiative addresses the issues of providing basic infrastructure such as toilets, drinking water, playground, sport & games equipment, library and books, desk benches to government schools of rural areas and also provide exposure to children through volunteers.
The campaign is aimed at helping children of underprivileged and labor class to come forward and claim their right to education. We don't want them to get into child labor and ruin their childhood. This campaign will support 20 kids with their schooling and other educational requirements.

Pallium India is organizing ‘Kuttikkoottam Summer Camp’ for children aged 12 and above, on May 1 to May 30, at Mitra Niketan, next to Arumana Hospital, Trivandrum. Engaging activities designed to impart knowledge and enhance creativity through fun and games, as well as personality development programs are part of this one month camp.Pallium India currently supports the education of over 350 children. Many of them had been on the verge of dropping out of school, after their families were ravaged by illness or death, and they were financially destroyed. Since 2011, every year Pallium India’s volunteers have been successfully conducting 3-day camps for these children, during their summer holidays, where they get to meet others from similar backgrounds and forget their troubles at least for a short while.To provide food, accommodation and gifts for the children, the estimated expense is ?4000 per child.
Elderly | Andhra Pradesh
The Problem: In Budhavarapeta slums in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh has a number of destitute elderly people, who are neglected by their Sons and Daughters. Many of them don’t have families to support them and resort to begging for food, while others belong to families where the adult members go off to work leaving them alone at home. Not only do they struggle with the absence of any social and economic security, but with lack of reasonable nutrition as well. These Elderly persons are spending their time at community halls, grave yard, neighbour houses.
